The sorrowful mysteries cover the agony in the garden, the scourging, the crowning with thorns, the carrying of the cross and the crucifixion. The Glorious mysteries are the Resurrection, the Ascencion, the Descent of the Holy Spirit, the Assumption and the Coronation of Our Lady as the Queen of Heaven. The Mysteries of Light were recently added, they are the Baptism of Our Lord, the Wedding at Cana, the proclamation of the Word of God, the Transfiguration and the Institution of the Holy Eucharist.
